All bookings must be made by filling in the online booking form available on the Absolute Yachting website at www.absoluteyachting.co.za or by emailing us at info@absoluteyachting.co.za. By submitting an online application form or completing and signing an email application form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.

All courses are booked for the specified dates and are non-transferable.

Payments:

For bookings made more than 14 days before the course start date, a 50% deposit or full payment is required. For bookings made within 14 days of the course start date, the full course cost must be paid to secure your place.

Payment must be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and proof of payment must be sent to info@absoluteyachting.co.za. Bookings are only confirmed once payment has cleared in the Absolute Yachting bank account.

Changes or Cancellations:

Students may change or cancel their booking at any time up to 14 days prior to the course start date by calling and emailing Absolute Yachting.

In the event of a change, the student’s Absolute Yachting account will be credited with the amount due and applied to their new booking.

If a course is canceled, refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days of written confirmation of cancellation, less any incurred costs.

Bookings made less than 14 days prior to the course start date do not qualify for a refund but can be rebooked for another available course date.

No refunds will be issued if a course is canceled less than 14 days prior to the start date.

Changes and cancellations must be confirmed in writing to info@absoluteyachting.co.za.

Course Times:

Course times are as detailed. Please ensure you arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be able to join the course.

If the course is missed due to late arrival or non-attendance, it may be rescheduled for another time within three (3) months of the original booking date, provided proof of illness or injury is submitted. No refund will be issued.

Course Specifics:

Absolute Yachting will provide tuition and all necessary equipment required for the course.

Life jackets are provided for powerboat courses. Personal equipment and buoyancy aids with a minimum of 70 Newtons are provided for all courses with safety boat support.

Closed shoes must be worn at all times on all courses. Flip flops are not suitable. Comfortable, appropriate clothing must be worn for the course.

Student requirements and specifics for each course will be emailed once the booking is confirmed and payment is made.

Students must notify Absolute Yachting of any medical condition that may be relevant to the course activities. Absolute Yachting reserves the right to refuse acceptance to any student deemed unfit or unable to participate.

A Health Declaration and an Emergency Contact form must be completed and returned to Absolute Yachting at the time of booking. All information will be treated confidentially.

No students under the age of 16 will be permitted to attend courses. For students aged 16 to 18, consent forms must be completed by a legal guardian.

Courses are weather dependent. If Absolute Yachting determines that a course cannot start or continue due to weather conditions or safety concerns, alternate dates will be offered, or a credit will be issued.

If a course is abandoned after starting due to weather, the remaining course will be rescheduled within three (3) months.

It is the student’s responsibility to contact Absolute Yachting to confirm alternate course dates.

All decisions regarding the running or cancellation of any course are at the absolute discretion of Absolute Yachting and are final.

Students and their guardians must be aware of the potential dangers of water-based activities. All necessary precautions are taken, but courses are undertaken at the student’s own risk.
