Endorsed by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and recognized by the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency), our Powerboat level II course runs from the New Harbour in Hermanus and takes 2 days to complete; starting at 8:30 and running through to approximately 16:30 each day.
This course is designed to equip you with essential skills for operating small powerboats, under 10m in daylight, up to 2 nautical miles from a safe haven.
Enjoy a fun and interactive powerboat training experience with our veteran skipper right here in Hermanus.
No prior practical or theoretical experience needed as this comprehensive training covers all key aspects, such as boat handling, navigation, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to name just a few. You will gain theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, ensuring you are well-prepared to navigate waterways confidently.
