DESCRIPTION:The Approved Engine Course (AEC) \nEmbark on an empowering journey into the world of Yacht Engineering with our Approved Engine Course (AEC). This essential entry-level course is designed for individuals with minimal experience or non-maritime technical training\, providing industry-specific training and certification as outlined by the MCA. \nThe AEC offers a significant advantage in the yachting industry\, where qualified Yacht Engineers are in high demand. Holding an AEC is crucial as it is the foundational certification necessary for progressing to higher engineering qualifications. \nThroughout the 30-hour (five-day) course\, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of diesel engines\, including the general principles of compression ignition engines\, the cycle of operation and construction details\, fuel systems\, the role of air in the combustion process\, cooling\, lubrication\, and electrical systems\, power transmissions\, hull fittings\, pollution legislation\, the Code of Safe Working Practices\, and bottled LPG installations. \nThis course takes place at our partner training centre in Simon’s Town but bookings and payment can be done with us. \nBook Now
